A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations to oversee service delivery, quality improvement, operational efficiency and patient experience across clinical programs. This is a senior leadership role for a healthcare operations professional who can drive performance while maintaining compliance, safety and compassionate care standards. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer or Chief Medical Officer. Competitive executive compensation and benefits.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day clinical operations across multiple sites, departments or service lines
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve patient access, throughput, quality and cost effectiveness
• Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, compliance and accreditation standards
• Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to align operations with organizational goals
• Build performance dashboards and KPIs to monitor operational, clinical and financial outcomes
• Lead process improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma or other evidence-based methodologies
• Manage budgets, staffing, resource allocation and vendor relationships for clinical operations
• Drive a culture of patient-centered care, accountability and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and regulatory requirements including HIPAA
• Support strategic planning, expansion and integration of clinical services

What we're looking for

• 12+ years of healthcare operations experience with progressive leadership responsibility
• Proven track record leading clinical or multi-site operations in a complex healthcare environment
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, quality metrics, accreditation and regulatory compliance
• Experience with performance improvement, operational planning and budget management
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to balance clinical quality, patient experience, staff engagement and financial performance
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business or related field; Master's preferred
• Clinical license or clinical operations background is highly desirable

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, MBA or MHA
• Experience with Epic, Cerner or other major EHR platforms
• Lean/Six Sigma certification or quality improvement training
• Background in a retained executive search for healthcare leadership
